A Budget traveler knows how important getting a convenient accommodation in the town they visit is. Above all, it is the first thing you take care of when planning your trip, isn’t it? Fortunately, getting your money’s worth in the oldest continuously inhabited town in Europe is relatively easy. However, you might still stumble upon a lodging that isn’t to your liking. Bike Hostel

The first hostel on our Accommodation list is the closest one to Plovdiv Central Railway Station and Bus Station South. It is supposed to be a hostel but it resembles the home of a 1970’s Bulgarian family more, there is even a cassette player with an old rock collection for the true fans! As the name suggests, bike or kayak rentals are offered, also, if you stay longer, you can get a free ride.

  • 5 minutes to Bus Station South.
  • 13 minutes to the Main Street.
  • 22 minutes to the Old Town.

Best Rest

Situated in the heart of town and yet in a quiet street, we are glad to admit that Best Rest lives up to its name. It not only offers a good rest, but also meets the top expectations of guests. There is a well equipped kitchen, friendly atmosphere and a hammock in case you want to take a break and restore your energy. Furthermore, it is surrounded by our most famous sights.

Ginger House is definitely not a typical party hostel. It is a 6- bed dorm which is indeed smaller than most. Does that mean that you don’t get to socialize with your fellow travelers? No. The beloved by all his guests, host Velin, believes that the smaller the group the stronger the connection. Ask him questions as he is always willing to help.

Learn about the Revival period by joining our walking tour. Antique furniture, mural paintings and more unique for the Old Town features, it can’t get any better! In fact, it can! As a hostel it is considered by many as the best one in town and the certificates for excellence are there to prove.

Our accommodation list would be incomplete without a hotel. Here’s one for the budget travelers that prefer more privacy. If there is one thing that distinguishes Hotel Evmolpia, it is its classy old- fashioned style. The nearly hundred year- old bed lamps, antique beds from the times of the Austro- Hungarian Empire and the stylish bathrooms, (just take a look) would immediately take you back centuries ago. Also, there is nothing better than waking up in the oldest part of Plovdiv.
