Plovdiv is one of the oldest cities in Europe, but its cultural life is vibrant and constantly evolving. Throughout the year, the city hosts a variety of festivals that blend music, art, food, and local traditions.

If you want to experience Plovdiv at its liveliest, these five festivals are a great place to start.

Kapana Fest

Kapana Fest has been part of Plovdiv’s cultural scene since 2015. Originally held in the Kapana district, today the festival takes place on the pedestrian bridge along Gladston Boulevard.

It has evolved into an independent cultural platform, bringing together carefully curated artists, designers, and creators. The festival combines design markets, live music, food, and interactive activities, creating a vibrant urban atmosphere.

In recent years, the event has expanded into multiple editions throughout the year, including both seasonal wine festivals and urban formats in different parts of the city.
